kikujiro's summer
today went down to hmv...having clearance sale...chk out whether got the stuff i wan at cheap rates...cos such hmv clearance sales are hard to come by...hee...
wanted to buy a beautiful life by roberto benigni...but sold out
they are selling takeshi kitano's zatoichi at 10 bucks! but didnt buy cos....been spending alot this week...litierally splurged...sigh...
i love beat kitano...his style, his acting, his scripts....wonderful...
didn't watch all his productions...but i fell in love with kikujiro's summer...

the 1st piece of kitano's work that i come across...
its a beautiful show...moving plot and good cinematography...should chk whether hmv sells it...
today went to watch the sea inside...s real life story bout this spanish quadriplegic... who seeks to kill himself.
the court refused euthanasia...eventually he killed himself with the help of his frens...drank cyanide or something...
may sound morbid...but the show is far from it...in meng's words, which i agree, it's pretty "life affirming"
a must watch in my opinion...
maybe cos of today's lesson on framing, technique, lighting, videography...throughout the show i was noticing the images and ways the scenes was shot that i nearly forgot to read the subtitles...hahaha....the show's in spanish btw...
